Spreyton – Asphalt & Kerbing Works

Monday 29th September

Asphalt & Kerbing Works will commence at Spreyton on Tuesday, 30th September 2025 and are expected to take approximately one month. Completion in early November 2025.

The contractors will hold a pre-start meeting each day at 0930 hours.

Machinery will commence work each weekday at 1000 hours.

The work will be conducted in three (3) stages.
• Stage 1 will be to install kerbing around the grassed area between the day stalls, workshop and parking area adjacent to the Stables Bar.
• Stage 2 will be to repair drainage and erosion issues and seal the road between the workshop and the creek line behind the day stalls
• Stage 3 will be to reseal the asphalt surface and improve drainage behind the Heritage Grandstand and Stables Bar.

Parking will be restricted behind the Stables Bar during Stage 1 works for the kerbing to allow for machinery access. Alternative parking is available during the Stage 1 works behind the DRC Amenities building and on the opposite side of the race day chute from day stalls to the mounting yard.

All works will be weather-dependent and may take longer than expected.

Please refer to the drawing outlining the work areas and initial stages of this project.
